Monks, nuns and students of Mindrolling International, joined Her Eminence Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche, Sangyum Kushog and His Eminence Penam Rinpoche in a joyful celebration of Mindrolling Monastery’s Founder’s Day.
Marking the 55th Anniversary of its founding by Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche, Kyabje Dzongnar Rinpoche and Kyabje Khochhen Rinpoche, the monastery began its day of festivities with Prayers, Tea and Rice offerings and the cutting of a wonderful cake.
The joyous day was celebrated with Senior Administrator Lama Tenkyab la presenting the history of the monastery, followed by a celebratory lunch and various activities.
Marking this auspicious day, H.E. Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche also announced the completion of a new building that will house more than 50 senior monks of the monastery.
